This report is based on the interview that I conducted with Mr. Hasan (My oldest brother)
The purpose of this report is to identify what Vaping is, or E-cigarettes some might call it as the E stands for electronic. The E-Cigs are a powered by a battery to produce a vapor to stimulate smoking; the vapor is produced by heating something called a coil, they heat it with organic cotton. E-Juice is the liquid used to wick the organic cotton and fill the upper tank, where they can vape for a longer period of time. The juice can have a variety of flavors, sweets to sour tastes that can be chosen. People started making their own flavors by ordering a custom flavor that they desire.
This technology was first patented in 1963 by Herbert A. Gilbert, but it didn’t make it because at that time people didn’t care about anything except smoking their regular cigarettes. But later on Hon Lik patented the modern E-Cigs after Gilbert’s patent expiration on 2003, where it wasn’t as successful as today, but it received a lot of attention compared to Gilbert.
Vaping is a good alternative like Hasan said, people use it to quit their tobacco cigarettes, and it’s proven to be efficient with a lot of people including Mr. Hasan. But vaping isn’t really harmless as it contains nicotine, where it can cause nicotine addiction to people who take for the first time, but you can choose you nicotine level from 0 to 12 MG nicotine.
Vaping has proven that it is safer than smoking by some doctors, but the big risk here is that we don’t know what its long time effect, as it’s a new thing that made it big the last five years. UAE have a ban restriction on the trading system of vapor shops, that’s why we don’t see it in the city, but according to The National News that the only place that sells vapor stuff despite that law is in Dubai Mall Dragon Mart.
The vaping tool is divided into two main parts which can be bought as a kit or separately depending on the manufacturer; the first part is the mod (The Battery) which powers the whole thing and control the power of the vapor, the second main part is the tank which is the one that holds the juice and gets inhaled from. A lot of people started building their own coil inside the tank; this gives a lot of options that make the people break into two categories, the flavor chasers, and the cloud chasers.
A lot depend on the mod and tank you’re using, and more importantly the juice you’re using, as it can be divided by thick and thin juices (VG/PG). Thick (High VG) juices produce more vapors which are suitable for the cloud chasers, the thin juices (High PG) gives more flavor and a harder throat hit which is suitable for the flavor chasers.
In conclusion, like I find out with Mr. Hasan that hard smokers can’t really quit smoking easily and some want to smoke but with less harm, if that’s the case for you then you should switch to vaping as it can help you quit smoking like Mr. Hasan did. In the end, everything gets more advanced and safer in my opinion, like RiP Trippers says " Smoking is dead, vaping is the future and the future is now".
